Day 2 - HO CHI MINH – CUCHI TUNNELS – ½ HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR

DAY 2: HO CHI MINH – CUCHI TUNNELS – ½ HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR (B)
Breakfast at the hotel,
09:00 Transfer to Cuchi Tunnels. Today you will visit the Cu Chi Tunnel which is
an underground tunnel complex legacy of the Vietnam War against the United
States. Step back in time to understand more about the life of Viet Cong
guerrillas and local people during the War. After breakfast at the hotel, start our
tour in the morning, before entering the tunnels visitors can watch a short
introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. You will spend
the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterward, enjoy tea, and cassava (guerrilla’sfood during the war). Cu Chi Tunnels is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese
& foreign tourists - the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary
when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were
functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially
constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals,
command centers & kitchens.
Come back to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.

- The Reunification Palace – A historical structure that was built on the
same site as the former “Norodom Palace” which housed many French
governors during the Indochina invasion. The palace was renamed shortly after
as the Independence Palace.
- Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon – This marvelous architecture
was constructed between 1863 and 1880 by French colonists.
- Saigon Central Post Office – Located close to the Notre-Dame
The Cathedral of Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City Post Office was designed by a famous
French architect and was constructed during 1886 – 1891. It is currently the
busiest post office in the country and a significant symbol of Ho Chi Minh City.
- War Remnants Museum - opened to the public in 1975 to exhibit the war
crimes committed by the French and Americans. The exhibit includes
photographs taken during the Vietnam War, American military equipment like
tanks, helicopter with rocket launchers, fighter planes, single-seater attack
aircraft, and a 6,800kg conventional bomb.

After breakfast at hotel, drive to visit Cu Chi tunnels, the incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. One of the highlights of your Vietnamese holiday is bound to be your visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of underground bunkers. Back to Hochiminh City for lunch. Afternoon, we continue to visit to Reunification Palace,Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Post Office, Jade Emperor Pagoda. End of the day free time for shopping at Ben Thanh Market, whose clock tower over the main entrance to what was formerly known as Les Halles Centrale is the symbol of Saigon, featuring one-way aisles loaded with people clamoring to sell you cheap goods (T-shirts, aluminum wares, silk, bamboo, and lacquer) and postcards. Overnight at hotel in Hochiminh City.

Depart at 09.00 from the southern economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City to the
the area referred to locally as “the rice bowl of Vietnam”.
Upon arrival at My Tho, cruising along a small creek to the Mekong River estuary, to
Con Phung (Phoenix Island). The motorized boat cruise more along natural
creeks and quiet villages in Ben Tre Province. En-route visit a small factory
producing handicrafts made of coconut. Visit orchards, and bee-keeping farms,
taste natural honey, and honey wine enjoy tropical fruit, and traditional music, see around a distillery, explore the local coconut candy production process, and taste
candy & coconut pulp.
Come back to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

After breakfast, proceed Sightseeing to Ho May Tourist Area.

blossom ... Visiting Ho May - Vietnam Guinness record from above by Ho May
cable car and you can freely visit the Buddhist spiritual area, the Christian
spiritual area, cultural history (French castle block, Viba radar station), folk
culture (horse carriage, love garden, bran plate), culture arts (circus, dance,
music). Paradise children, Thrilling games area such as racing, zipline,
climbing, watching 5D movies, super trampoline, sledding, and Water park on
direct payment basis).
Return back to hotel & overnight stay at Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City (commonly known as Saigon) is a city in southern Vietnam famous for the pivotal role it played in the Vietnam War. It's also known for its French colonial landmarks, including Notre-Dame Cathedral, made entirely of materials imported from France, and the 19th-century Central Post Office. Food stalls line the city’s streets, especially around bustling Ben Thanh Market.
The story of wartime Saigon is told at the War Remnants Museum, the tunnel network at Cu Chi and Independence Palace, where North Vietnamese tanks famously breached the gates in April 1975. The Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens are home to elephants, tigers and rare orchids. Native plants and animals may also be seen at the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve, a mangrove forest at the mouth of the Saigon River. The Jade Emperor Pagoda is filled with incense and carved figurines, and features elaborate statuary and a turtle pond.
